CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Ron Sanchez, UVA basketball’s interim head mentor, is out as the program’s complete-time leader.
As outlined by a UVA Athletics information launch, Athletics Director Carla Williams declared the choice Wednesday, March 12.
“I'm grateful to mentor Sanchez for accepting this function during such a vital time for the program,” Williams said, in accordance with the news release. “Ron and also the workers presented good balance, steering and aid to the younger Adult men within the team and we've been thankful for his motivation to UVA along with the values which have been foundational to Virginia Guys’s basketball.”
Sanchez was named Virginia’s interim head mentor in October when Tony Bennett remarkably retired three months ahead of the season begun.
